Almost had a fresh set of SSR Mesh!

Candy likes Falken Hanabis. This wheel belongs to her. All of her car parts are inside the house. All of mine are freezing outside in the cold like homeless field mice! Hahaha..

Anyways, we leave soon for FL. Long drive. (Yep, I said it.. we are driving) Candy has never been on a road trip, and really hasn't been anywhere outside of New England and New York City I think. This will be exciting. I don't mind the long drive. I'm so used to it anyways. It should be fun though. And another great thing about driving down is that we will have license to drive where we want to when we want to. We don't have to borrow or rent a car. Freedom to explore is a good thing.

By the way.. I looked up Dunkin Donuts in the town we will be in and miraculously there are at least 5. That makes me feel great. Normally when I go to visit other places out of New England I can almost never find one within reasonable distance of where I am staying. Needless to say, 5 may not be a lot of DD but I am extremely pumped.

I'm pretty excited to pick up my freshly machined block! Also, I am ordering my pistons when I'm back from Florida!! Woooh

Met up briefly with Kevin Phan, Shane, Toan and friends last night. They were helping out with Kevin's drop in. I walked away with a 75a fuse (Thanks Kevin!) and that made it all worth it. Cool cats.

Kevin Starling has asked me to be a groomsman in his wedding. I'm gonna steal the show. lol.. just kidding. I'm happy/surprised to even be considered as a candidate in the first place, and will be happy to stand up there and look good while he ties the not!

We went to Carraba's last night. If you have never been, I don't recommend it. Do not believe the hype. If you are interested in having black pepper be the overwhelming spice ingredient in ALL of your food, you actually may want to consider this place. Be prepared to wait a long time if you aren't smart enough to call ahead of time (People were angry that we had been there for minutes and were seated when they've been waiting for an hour +)

How to ruin photographs.

Put subject Patrick into the shot. haha.. just kiddin'.
Ahh, we love the funny face. This is an old shot from my mom's old house. In the basement.

So.. not really much to update on the car right now. It's 2:45 in the morning.

So instead of posting about my 2nd favorite subject.. I'd post about my first.
This picture is taken with Candy's Mac book. I really like it though. We have it printed and framed in our room. Sure, it's not great quality when it comes to resolution... but the quality people... fuhgeddaboutit.

now.. this one right here happens to still be one of my favorite pictures of us. I am truly a man of candid nature, even when we should be taking pictures.. this is from when we first started hanging out and I wore Sperry's all the time.
It doesn't get much better than this. We are dope.
Truly fun loving and very much in love.
It really is a lot of fun to be around us.

I really like this shot of Candy. It's a lot more recent.
It was hard to go through the catalogue of pictures on this computer
as there were about 15 thousand.
Makes it hard to pick some to choose.
I was going to make a time line.. oh well. I like this picture. It's great.

Remember when I was talking about ruining pictures.. C'monnn. And you know we have the best smiles out of anyone you know.
I love this little lady.

I got Martha Stewart givin' me stock tips:

Here is a mother fucking picture!
So... I am truly pumped about the March 21st meet and cruise. And I will continue to refer to it as "Boss Town". That shit will be off the chain.

There is no way to be done my build by then, so I will go via hatch in all it's stock power glory. Hopefully I will have at least replaced the exhaust by then. Also, a tight bomb job is in the works.

Work lately has been a total drag. What's new? Kevin is also leaving the company next week. The only positive aspect will be I will have to clear out my work email a shit ton less.. haha.

We leave for Florida in a couple of weeks. I'll be happy to just be on the road. If only I could source a god damn CB radio for the trip. I need to be on top of where the smokey locals are.

This is a pretty boring update. Sorry, Toan. I know you're the only one readin' this. haha

Brevity is the soul of wit:

This is destined to be a short update. I'm at work!

Car news: Got all new components to rebuild. OEM rods which will be cryo treated, OEM timing chain rebuild, water pump, oil pump + front cover, gasket kit.

Going to order forged internals soon. Machine work is already done for the block, honed, bored, decked, deglazed, hot tanked, yada yada. .020 over Yay!

I've got one block going to Leon...plus a head. I have a motor for the vert, and 5 speed for vert.

I have to get my headwork done for my BC valve train. teeheehehehe

This weekend consisted of me disassembling my bike, after walking out to the bike in the shed. Turns out I had horizontal drop outs all along. Went to Goodales bike shop. They suck. They are not helpful, and totally ignored me. well, sorry.. that is it. :-(

I answer hard acrostics, I've a pretty taste for paradox

Happy holidays for those of you who actually visit my blog. I haven't had much the chance to post anything worthwhile as of recent. I plan on changing that, however.

Actually.. I stand correct. I can recount the stories from Candy's craft fair funtimes!
It was located in Ludlow, Mass. A terribly boring drive to the west! All in all, the experience was not lacking in any remote sense of the word. Plenty of people watching to be had for those who are not strict enjoyers of the craft. There were so many different types of things going on, being presented, and sold. We spent the better part of our day there and driving. Candy faired pretty well, sold a decent amount of her line and also made a few trades.

This is a picture from later into the day. Our (her) table and the two of us. I was just gearing up to brace myself against the harsh elements that seemingly came out of nowhere! I was on my way to the bagel shop down the road from the hall which held the craft fair when I ran into my mother. She was hours late and I had started to worry. I attempted several times to call her but to no avail. At this point I was hoping good bagels and coffee would set my mind at ease. Ultimately, with luck, I had no need to resort to food and caffeine to rest my worries, and now only needed them out of sheer habit and addiction. My mother took me right over to the bagel shop (and I thank God as it was pretty cold and her car was warmed from her travels). We got back and surprised Candy and Beth with treats and then my mom took a tour of the fair.

That more or less sums up the day without boring you with other details.

I soon will be ordering my block internals and looking into getting my block machined. I was considering sending it to Fast Eddies in New Jersey because of their prolific history and overwhelming reputation. I was quoted nearly $5k. No thanks. A Sterling reputation does not a deal make for me when it comes to that kind of money. Granted, I can't argue with their testimonials and the services they perform.. I'm just not up to spending that kind of money. So I will undoubtedly stay local.

Also, recently I have been looking into body kits and despite arguments against Chaser, I think for economic purposes I will going with their product. I am going to be drifting. Damaged bodies are a slight bit more appealing when your aero costs significantly less than $1200.00. I think for the vert I am much more likely to invest in high quality..but why break the bank over something I plan on getting mangled on more than one occasion?

I will be giving Leon a spare block and head for his build. He seems pretty gungho about doing it. Why not, right?

At any rate.. it is 1:00AM and Christmas Day (or morning if you want to be technical) and Candy has just finished watching 'Gone With The Wind' which probably means we will be going to bed shortly. Stay safe, happy holidays.

Wacky Holidays

So.. I've done a little bit of Christmas shopping. A little..
Picked up some pretty neat stuff for a cerstain someone. It's been a pretty busy season so far.. lot going on at work, and planning, etc. Candy has the Craft fair this weekend so that has consumed a lot of her time.

I have slowed down with the cars. That's not good. I suspect I will get back to it post Christmas. Here's hoping.
Although, tonight.. I did swap the tach from the dohc cluster to the HUD instrument panel. So..I guess every little bit counts.

I also wanted to display my not so flush stance. It really needs work. I definitely need a new suspension set up. I don't want to remove the collars on my coilovers. I haven't been disappointed with the ride, I just don't appreciate the look as much. I also don't think they are that great for lady drift. So here they are:

This definitely could use a smaller tire. I would also like to dial the wheel in a bit and tuck. I've been considering the koni+ground control set up, but I think I will be exploring that option with the vert. For this hatch I just want rigid and driftness with capability to slam for hella sexiness!

This is the second post I've made about the stance. So you know I am concerned

Now I wanted to add a few picutres that were random..but have relevance to this most recent week.

Dickroll anyone? Yep, that's right.. we went to my mom's place the other night for dinner. She was making a pan asian kind of meal. It was delicious (needless to say). One of the eggrolls bear an uncanny resemblance to a mandick. Or..Wongburger. You choose!

Also.. a visit from one of the girls outside. She wanted to check out our tree I suspect. Video included!!

Rough Cut Video From The Cruise

So..here is another example of how I sit on things forever. Some footage from the Kanc Cruise this summer with the boys from 240sxONE. The majority of the filming was extremely subpar. I think we should have brought people with experience in filming and really put something nice together.

But the facts are I had to weed through hours of shit, and then good footage that was really just boring.

I still have not invested in better editing software yet. I thought it came with the upgrade for the OS that I bought...but I guess not.

So I apologize for the lack of cleaning up, editing, music, etc. I had big plans, but I dunno when I will actually get around to it..

P.S. the quality is really bad.. If I ever finish editing..I will upload it to vimeo or something.
